Winter Training

It's cold out, and icy. I checked the temperature yesterday - 8 degrees! Signed up with my Golden Ticked (Christian Aid) so I'm in the race at last.
Slippy - Only just got to the railway station without falling it's so icy! To avoid injury I'm doing indoor training. Keep thinking of me (no, I'm not completely mad)

Dear Hugh

I wish you well for the up and coming London Marathon. I was pleased to complete the Glasgow Marathon some years ago so I can say train well and hard as every ounce put in now will lessen the struggle during the event.

Remember also it is a great feeling running with thousands of others but pace yourself and don't let the euphoria push you too hard too quickly as that WALL can be very unforgiving!!!

So dig in and dig deep - a great human effort needed from you to help others less well off. There can be no better cause.

Good Luck
